The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art is proud to present Chalktoberfest, an exciting combination of their annual Chalk Festival with Marietta's premier Craft Beer Festival.

Enjoy your afternoon sampling craft beers, live music from local artists, watching professional Chalk Artists chalk the streets and eating great food at the beautiful downtown square of Marietta. A great day out for all the family, the Chalk Fest is free to attend. All proceeds go to the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art.

The Chalk Festival

Hailed as the most important pavement art event in the world, the International Chalk Festival will run four days, at the Venice Airport Fairgrounds, from November 15 through 18 with the 2019 theme announced GARDEN OF WONDERS "a tribute to the marvels of the natural world and the human imagination."

The festival affords a once-a-year opportunity to become an integral part of the fine art creative process. From start to finish, you can witness the largest gathering of renowned pavement artists perform using the road surface as a canvas to develop oversized masterpieces in chalk.

Madonnari Arts Festival

This 3-day cultural event will showcase elaborate chalk paintings created by artists directly on the streets of Little Italy. This free outdoor chalk festival includes live music, street performers, participatory art, an art market and al fresco dining in a celebration of the contemporary renaissance of Baltimore’s historic Italian neighborhood.

Artists will create exquisite classical and contemporary 3D chalk paintings on Little Italy’s South High Street on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 6-8.  This year, the  theme of the art is “Courage.”

Pacific North West Chalk Festival

The 2017 PNW ChalkFest attracted people from all over the Western US. Over 50,000 attended and joined in the art and activities. Artists were given free reign to create whatever they wished. This resulted in a amazing variety of works.

Redmond Town Center provided the perfect location for the artists and the audience to experience the event in a grand style.

On Saturday, July 13, Long Beach Towne Center will celebrate the centuries-old artistry of street painting with a FREE Chalk Festival from noon to 3 p.m. Throughout the event, 15 talented artists will use hundreds of sticks of pastel chalk to create a collection of eclectic, mesmerizing and breathtaking chalk murals. The Long Beach Towne Center Chalk Festival will also offer a number of family-friendly activities including balloon twisting, face painting, music, and a special Children’s Chalk Zone where kids of all ages will be invited to create their own chalk masterpieces.

The festival benefits the Children's Creative Project, a nonprofit arts education program of the Santa Barbara County Education Office. The Project serves 50,000 children in more than 100 schools with visual and performing arts workshops and performances throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.

Festival hours are 10-6 daily. Admission is free.

On Sunday, May 5th, Pacific Commons will host a FREE Chalk Festival. The event will showcase the work of 20 artists who will create life-sized chalk murals on the pavement outside the center. Using hundreds of sticks of pastel chalk, their work will be the size of an entire city block and will feature an array of eclectic, mesmerizing and breathtaking designs in every style imaginable – from classical and contemporary to whimsical and socially relevant.

The Pacific Commons Chalk Festival will also offer a host of family-friendly activities including a Kids Chalk Zone where children will be invited to create their own chalk masterpieces and a spin-to-win prize wheel.

Since its creation in 1995 by a small group of Lake Worth residents led by Erin Allen and Maryanne Webber, the Street Painting Festival has grown into the most highly anticipated free cultural event in South Florida. Modeled after I Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival in Santa Barbara, California, the art of street painting has attracted onlookers since the 16th century, when crowds would gather to watch as itinerant artists created masterworks on the cobblestones. Now in its third decade, the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival attracts 100,000 visitors each year.
