Returning this year, Sounds & Sights Festival will hold its 7th Chalk Art event. This year we will be featuring several professional pavement artists and holding our annual chalk contest. Participants of all abilities and ages are encouraged to help transform concrete on West Middle Street into vibrant colors and works of art. The contest will take place on Saturday, July 27th from 8am to 4pm in downtown Chelsea.

The 2017 PNW ChalkFest attracted people from all over the Western US. Over 50,000 attended and joined in the art and activities. Artists were given free reign to create whatever they wished. This resulted in a amazing variety of works.

Redmond Town Center provided the perfect location for the artists and the audience to experience the event in a grand style.

The final works became stunning masterpieces that appealed to children and adults of all ages. Join us in August 2018!

The Project serves 50,000 children in more than 100 schools with visual and performing arts workshops and performances throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.

Festival hours are 10-6 daily. Admission is free.

The Simi Valley Chalk Fest is the first annual art festival that brings nationally recognized “madonnari”, or chalk artists, together at the Simi Valley Town Center. Come watch the artists transform the street into a vibrant canvas before your very eyes. This open-aired festival will feature live entertainment, kids art section, and a selection of local vendors. The festival is teaming up with American Hope Resources and the Simi Valley Police Department to raise money for the Simi Valley Free Clinic.
